- Must have ability to organize, plan and direct individual care and facility-wide programs
- Must be able to supervise staff in a manner that supports employee self esteem and team building as well as effective performance
- Must be able to interact with residents, other staff, visitors and the community in a courteous and diplomatic manner under even stressful circumstances
- Must be flexible and creative in assuring good nursing and health practices while supporting resident autonomy, independence and the residential character of the assisted living setting
- Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and participate in scheduled holiday activities
- Must be willing to delegate certain special tasks of nursing in accordance with State Board of Nursing rules for Nurse Delegation
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and work in the assisted living environment in order to perform the functions of the job
- Must be flexible, receptive and adaptive to change
