About the job
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages scheduling and timecards for caregivers and med-aides and fill in as needed.
Manages and is accountable for the budget for Resident Services Department.
Insures implementation of policies and procedures.
Participate in marketing and tours for potential residents.
Represent Willamette Manor to the community.
Ensures that physician’s orders are sent to physicians every 3 months.
Policies and Procedures
Support the resident rights at all times.
Adhere to state rules and regulations for Assisted Living Facilities.
Promotes a safe work environment.
Reports on the job injuries and insures completion of an Incident Report and a Worker’s Compensation Insurance form.
Insures the staff observe infection control policies and procedures.
Resident Services
Ensure that quality care is provided.
Assist with resident care, serving meals, answering call lights, and administering medications after being trained.
Collects information and writes reports for the Administrator and for Quality Assurance.
Report changes of condition of residents to other departments, R.N. and Administrator.
Carry out physician’s orders.
Establishes a system for managing resident appointments, purchase of supplies, arranging transportation, auditing pharmacy system, and communicating with other agencies when resident services are affected.
Documentation
Document’s information in residents’ files.
Audits resident’s files prior to admission and quarterly to ensure information is present.
Purge files as needed.
Manages information and forms for resident files.
Other Duties
Uses the fax machine, telephone, copier, and computer as needed.
Attends continuing education workshops.
Participates in department head meetings.
Plans and organizes staff meetings with Resident Services Department.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Administrator.
Requirements
Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in the care of the elderly or C.N.A. and/or C.M.A.
Communicate verbally and in writing with the elderly, disabled, families of residents, community agencies and physicians.
Provide leadership, supervision, and function as a role model for all staff.
Support the mission of Willamette Manor.
Flexibility to work the hours required to meet the needs of the residents.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, bend, lift, push, pull, squat, reach and work in the assisted living environment to perform the functions of the job.
Work with other departments as a team member to provide quality care and problem-solve issues.
